Note that you don't need to equip every division with a maintenance company in order to capture equipment. For example, you can actually capture more support equipment than you spent equipping the maintenance support company, plus other equipment (although much of it will be antiquated). If you're doing a lot of encirclements and destroying units, then you can actually come out ahead over time. Also, maintenance companies allow your units to capture equipment. Maintenance companies improve reliability so you don't have to spend Army XP to upgrade tanks.
